Coffee Shoppe at Vino serves coffee, tea, small bites, and Saturday brunch.

It was one year ago this month that Vino and Gallery Bar reopened from the shutdown. And we were here for the reopening on the patio… Today we are here to celebrate the Grand Opening of Coffee Shoppe at Vino! The coffee shop is open Monday through Saturday and offers brunch on Saturday.
The coffee shop boasts a variety of Amavida Coffee Roasters and Rishi Teas and Botanicals as well as infused, flavored, and sparkling waters, and smoothies. We arrive in time to enjoy hot cups of latte and mocha with sensational strawberry cheesecake and a downright, addictive pimento biscuit. These small bites whet our appetites for Brunch. Other eats include protein bars, turkey and vegetarian paninis, parfaits, fritters, cookies, cupcakes, cake slices, muffins, biscuits, and gluten free treats. These can all be purchased at the counter for eat in, patio dining, or take out.
At 11:00 a.m. table service begins for brunch. And the brunch menu is more than I could hope for… with many of my favorites from Vino’s dinner menu along with selections of brunch fare and specialty cocktails. We start with Martinis of Chilton County Strawberry and American Chocolate Devine. The strawberry tini is light and lovely. The chocolate martini is a serious drink for serious chocoholics… reimagined without the typical creamy sweetness. We pair our martinis with Hot Spinach Artichoke Dip and Hummus and our favorite here, an order of Potato Latkes. The very sharable dip dish features freshly baked pita chips encircled with the divine dip, a heavenly hummus, and fresh raw veggies. And the latkes are piping hot, golden on the outside, white and moist on the inside, bursting with flavor.
For entrees, Kev orders The Benedict, and I have the Hash Tower. This Benedict pleases all as the options include Conecuh sausage or bacon or fried green tomato with poached or fried egg along with hash browns and fresh fruit. Kev selected bacon with poached egg. And it is a beauty! The eggs are perfectly poached with the orange yolk front and center atop English muffins. The yolk runs into the bread, which is accompanied by three tasty sauces including Hollandaise. The golden hash browns add another dimension to our potato fest. And juicy fresh watermelon and fresh black and blueberries brighten the plate and the palate.
My Hash Tower is potato latke heaven with roasted onion, peppers, jalapenoes, diced tomatoes, scallions and fried egg. Protein options include sausage, bacon, salmon or shrimp, which I choose. This feast is a stack of potato latkes topped with two fried eggs, roasted onion, colorful peppers, fresh strawberries, in season watermelon, toast, and succulent shrimp. Just when I thought nothing could make the latkes better, the yolk running onto them proves me wrong… This decadent dish has it all and is highly recommended!
Desserts are a must at Vino. We opt for their famous Apple Fritters a la mode and Classic Tiramisu. The golden fritters are tried and true and as always are moist and filled with an apple cobbler like center, and served with fresh, red apple slices, adding texture to the dessert. The Tiramisu is a long and tall slice of temptation, with creamy coffee and chocolate notes. It is enhanced by fresh strawberries and blueberries.
