Season 52 Fresh Grill debuts rustic fall dishes.

Seasons change, and so does the menu at Seasons 52 Fresh Grill. But one thing that never changes is that none of their dishes are more than 475 calories. 

“Autumn is the season of harvest and rustic cooking,” explains Chef Cliff Pleau, Executive Chef at Seasons 52. “Roasting and caramelizing vegetables and poultry, in our brick oven, really bring out the flavors that are the essence of the season.” In addition, Jolie Saison, a premium Gamay wine, has been added to the “Drink Them Before They’re Famous” wine list. And today we pair this wine with new menus items.

We all have our limitations, and unfortunately one of mine is an allergy to mushrooms. And fall brings mushrooms to many dishes at Seasons 52. So I am tempted by dishes that I cannot have. But I brought Kevin to help taste and describe these dishes, as we enjoy a lovely Autumn pairing menu for lunch at Seasons 52. 

For starters Kevin enjoys the Trio of Roasted Mushroom Flatbread. “The flatbread is crisp and with deep, earthy and cheese flavors,” Kevin says. It boasts black trumpet, oyster, and Portobello mushrooms along with a garlic confit, green onions and spinach. 

Next the Roasted Manchester Farm Quail, stuffed with mushroom risotto, leaf spinach, bacon and a 15-year-old balsamic. Chef prepares my quail without the stuffing. My bird is tender and juicy and is served atop lovely and tasty wilted spinach. And Kevin’s stuffed bird looks even better. 

The Oak Grilled Filet Mignon is served with cremini mushrooms for Kevin—and none for me—along side steamed leaf spinach, mashed potatoes, and red wine sauce. The steaks are cooked to order, juicy and tender. And the mashed potatoes are made without butter, which explains how this dish stays under 475 calories and why the natural flavor of the potato shines, rather than being masked by dairy products. 
Maple Glazed All Natural Roasted Half Chicken may be the favorite of the entrees. A high quality bird is roasted to perfection and served on a bed of root vegetables, in its zesty chicken jus. This comforting dish both fills and fulfills. 

And from Seasons 52’ Signature Mini Indulgences line up, we have the Pumpkin Pie with Ginger Snap Crust. If you love pumpkin pie, you will love this small indulgence that is big on pumpkin flavor, and enhanced with its layers of ginger snap crust—topped with a ginger snap. This delectable dessert makes a perfect ending to the tasting of Seasons 52 Fresh Grill's fall tasting.
