George Reis 

Chef George Reis was born in the Midwest and raised in upstate New York, which gave him an appreciation of the greatness of farm fresh foods and the blending of world flavors. After living in New York, Dallas, the Gulf Coast and Atlanta, George was able to realize his dream by moving to Birmingham and opening Ocean in March 2002.  At Ocean George is able to draw upon the flavors of the world and combine them with the freshest seafood.   In 2015 George opened 5 Point Public House Oyster Bar next door to Ocean.
