GianMarco's Restaurant atmosphere is a welcoming synthesis of Italian charm and
Southern hospitality. Entering GianMarco's through its separate bar, neighborhood patrons line the stools, and aromas of Italian sauces lead to the softly lit dining rooms.
Here candle lit tables are open to the kitchen-where servers stand awaiting the plates of food verses the food getting cold waiting for servers. "People wait for pasta. Pasta does not wait for people," Giani Respinto explains. Brothers Giani and Marco Respinto own and operate GianMarco's Restaurant.
GianMarco's menu includes traditional, northern Italian dishes, lots of pastas, veal and fish. Steaming plates of Italian made pastas have that Old World texture reminiscent of the pastas enjoyed in Italy. GianMarco's main plates and daily specials include Gulf seafood, pasture raised, grass fed beef, chicken, and pork.
GianMaro's menu is paired with a chef driven, food friendly, extensive wine list, which reflects the Respinto's loyalties to both their home and their heritage, American and Italian. Available by the glass, by the bottle, or even better is the quartino, a carafe of one and one half glases of wine. A bottle or quartino of wine on every table, that is the Italian way and the GianMarco's way.
GianMarco Wine is both a retail wine shop and wine bar. Here you can purchase wine to pair with lunch, dinner, or to take home. GianMarco Wine also serves the dinner menu to first come, first serve as no reservations are taken at GianMarco Wine. Arrive early and sit inside at the wine bar, at a table, or on the porch. No beer or cocktails are served at GianMarco Wine, where only wine is paired with dinner.
