OvenBird is Chris and Idie Hastings’ live fire, casual restaurant located at Pepper Place, does not require reservations but they are accepted for parties of six or more. OvenBird's dinner menu celebrates seasonal Southern ingredients we know and love in a small plate format that takes inspiration from the live fire traditions of Spain, Portugal, Uruguay, and Argentina.
The Hastings worked closely with some of Alabama’s finest craftsmen and thought leaders in design to create a variety of amazing vignettes: main dining room, hearth room, warehouse, main garden, warehouse garden so you can enjoy a great meal with your friends, family or colleagues at Ovenbird.
Ovenbird seats 100 inside and 40 outside. The warehouse has room for 150 people for a standing event. All of Ovenbird's dining spaces are available to rent, as is the entire Ovenbird restaurant for your private event.
