History
Envisioning the Internet as a platform to syndicate her local food columns, Walsh founded BirminghamRestaurants.com in 2007. The website quickly became the city’s favorite dining guide of Birmingham metro’s best restaurants. It was voted “Best Local Website” in Birmingham magazine’s “Best of Birmingham,” three months after it launched in 2007. Through the years that followed, the website was updated daily with new content and each year with new functionalities.
In 2010 Walsh Websites, LLC launched
DineDaily.com, as a partner site to BirminghamRestaurants.com. Its daily e-newsletter delivers today’s menus to subscribers’ inboxes, by linking back to DineDaily.com for each day’s Daily Specials and Daily Deals.
In 2011 BirminghamRestaurants.com launched this new version of the website with many added features, including slider bar by cuisine, culinary critiques, foodie profiles, and online ordering.
Expansion
In 2011 Walsh is forming a new company, Site Map Media, LLC to launch city restaurant sites and city lawyer sites in Alabama and Tennessee.
